As a Newborn Photographer in Colchester, my aim is always to create a calm, gentle and completely baby-led experience for you and your little one.
With over 15 years of experience working with newborn babies, alongside full training in newborn photography safety, your baby is always in safe, confident hands. Their comfort, safety and wellbeing are my absolute priority throughout the entire session. Every pose, wrap and setup is done slowly and carefully, always following your baby’s cues. There is never any rush — just a relaxed, peaceful environment where your newborn can be settled and comfortable.
Booking Your Newborn Session
My newborn photography sessions are very popular and tend to book up quickly. I only take on a limited number of sessions each month to ensure every family receives the time and care they deserve. Because of this, I always recommend booking while you are still pregnant to secure your space.
However, I do sometimes have last-minute availability, so if your baby has already arrived, please still get in touch — I may be able to fit you in.
Flexible Booking Date – No Stress
I completely understand that babies rarely arrive exactly on schedule. That’s why all bookings are flexible.
If your baby arrives early or later than expected, we simply adjust your session date. There’s no stress and no need to worry — everything is planned around your baby.
Simple Booking Process
To secure your newborn photography session, a £25 deposit is required. The remaining balance is due on the day of your shoot. I keep everything simple and transparent, with no hidden costs. There are also no separate viewing appointments needed. After your session, you’ll be able to view and choose your images from the comfort of your own home via a private, password-protected online gallery.

We are over the moon with our recent experience and photographs with Gemma. Our newborn was 18 days old on the day of the shoot and we have a 3 and 5 year old who came with us too. The studio was set up, warm and ready with space to sit and watch on as Gemma used her expertise to transition our baby out of his car seat while keeping him settled. We had chosen our props beforehand and Gemma had these ready, carefully and confidently handling our baby to get the best photos of him.When it was time for sibling shots, our middle child’s behaviour was challenging at times but he responded well to Gemma and she worked enthusiastically and quickly to ensure that we got the best possible photos.
