This session is perfect for families with a newborn under 4 weeks old. We'll capture a lovely balance of baby portraits, family moments together, and — if you have little ones at home — gorgeous sibling shots as well.

What Happens During Your Session

A newborn photography home visit is one of the most relaxed and personal ways to capture your newborn's earliest days — and it all begins long before I even knock on your door.

​

Once your booking is confirmed, you'll receive a full detailed information pack covering everything you need to know about preparing your baby ahead of the session — from feeding times to room temperature — so that by the time I arrive, you feel calm, prepared, and ready to just enjoy the experience.

I arrive with everything we need — bean bag, wraps and blankets if you'd like your baby posed, or I work with your bed or their cot for a more natural, relaxed feel. I use available natural light from the windows around your home. Sessions last around one - two hours, and from the moment I step through the door, everything moves at your baby's pace.

I usually begin with whichever style you've chosen — bean bag poses or natural photos of your baby. If it's bean bag, I start while your little one is at their most settled, gently swaddled in your choice of colour or in natural poses if they're happy and content. If you've chosen natural photos in their own clothing, we capture those relaxed, candid moments instead — on the bed, in the cot, wherever feels most like your baby. With over 15 years of experience handling and posing newborns, I have a whole toolkit of soothing techniques for even the fussiest of babies.

Once we have those early bean bag portraits, we'll move into something more natural and relaxed — photographs of your baby with you, your partner, your family, even pets. Your home doesn't need to be a certain size (See photo below) or perfectly tidy — I work completely around your space and bring everything with me. I usually use the following rooms for natural, lifestyle photos of you and your baby: Living Room, Dining room and Bedrooms

Home visit spaces are very limited, so I always recommend securing your booking while you're pregnant — it's one less thing to think about once your baby is here.

I travel within approx. 12 miles / approx. 30 minutes drive of CM9 8RJ,

Covering most villages with in: Maldon, Colchester, Witham and Mersea Island Essex

How to Book

A £25 deposit secures your flexible date, with this deducted from your session fee —and the remaining is due the day before your photo session date via Bank transfer or Sum-up Link (Credit card etc)

​

I recommend booking while you're still pregnant — home visit spaces are very limited, and it's one less thing to think about once your baby is here. Your date is flexible and can easily be moved if baby arrives early or late.
