What To Expect From Your Newborn Session
I know those early days with a new baby can feel overwhelming, and the thought of leaving the house for a photo session might seem like a big task. Please don’t worry — I’ve got you.
Newborn sessions are usually held within the first two weeks after birth, while your baby is still super sleepy and naturally curled up. This is when we can capture those gorgeous, snuggly poses you see in my portfolio.
When you arrive at the studio, you’ll find it warm, calm and cosy — I keep it nice and toasty so your little one stays comfortable and sleepy. The whole experience is designed to feel relaxed, never rushed.

Before your session, you’ll receive an information pack with simple guidance on how to prepare your baby and what to wear. Nothing complicated — just helpful tips so you feel ready and confident when you walk through the door.
We’ll start with baby on their own, capturing all those tiny details. If you’ve chosen a package that includes family images, we’ll then move on to photos with parents and siblings. I’ll gently guide you into natural, flattering poses so you don’t have to worry about what to do with your hands or how to stand.
And here’s the most important thing I want you to know…..It does not matter if your baby doesn’t sleep the whole time. It doesn’t matter if they need feeding, cuddles, or a little extra settling. I have years of experience and lots of gentle soothing techniques, and I always allow plenty of time. Your session is completely baby-led and we work at their pace. Even if your little one is unsettled or wide awake, I can still create beautiful images. Patience is key — and I promise, there is no pressure.
This is a calm, seamless experience where you can sit back, relax, and enjoy watching your baby being photographed safely and lovingly. My job is to take care of everything — so you can simply soak up the moment.

My Calming Studio
My studio is a calm, peaceful space designed with both parents and little ones in mind — somewhere you can take a breath, feel comfortable, and enjoy the experience. It’s fully equipped with professional lighting and thoughtfully chosen setups, but most importantly, it feels warm and relaxed from the moment you walk in.
Before each newborn session, I take time to meditate and clear my mind. It’s important to me that I’m fully present for you and your baby, creating a calm and welcoming space where you feel supported and at ease from the very beginning.
Newborn Photography Prices
Your newborn session will be calm, gentle and completely baby-led. With over 15 years of experience handling and posing newborn babies — and full training in newborn photography safety — your little one is always in safe, experienced hands. Their comfort and wellbeing is my absolute priority throughout.
I know babies don’t always arrive on schedule, so your booking is flexible. If your little one decides to come early or keep you waiting a little longer, we simply adjust your date — no stress.
To secure your session, a £25 deposit is required, with the remaining balance due on the day of your shoot. Everything is kept simple and transparent — there are no hidden charges and no separate viewing sessions you need to attend afterwards.
Once your gallery is ready to view (usually within 1-2 days), you’ll receive your beautiful images on a password secured site ready to view in the comfort of your own home. If you fall in love with more images than your package includes, you’re very welcome to purchase additional ones.
My aim is to make the whole process feel easy, relaxed and enjoyable — from booking right through to receiving your final photographs.

How to Book
The best time to book your newborn session is while you’re still pregnant. Once your baby arrives, the days fly by, and those magical first two weeks — when your little one is sleepy, tiny, and completely unaware of the world — pass in a blink. These are the moments you’ll want to remember forever.
I suggest booking a date approx. two weeks after your due date or guessed induction or C section date, but don’t worry if your baby doesn’t arrive exactly on time — the date I give you is flexible and can easily be adjusted if your little one is early or a little late.
