There’s something really special about twin newborn sessions. It’s double the tiny details, double the cuddles… and honestly, double the emotion.
As a Newborn Photographer in Colchester, I recently had the joy of photographing twin baby boys, and what made the session even more meaningful was having their lovely family visiting from India join in the photos too.

Twin Boys Who Settled So Beautifully Together
From the moment we started, the twin boys were just so calm together. Even at only a few days old, they naturally curled into each other, almost like they already knew they were each other’s safe space.
Twins often do this — they seem to settle more easily when they’re side by side. Little hands resting on each other, soft sleepy movements, and those quiet moments where everything just feels still. It’s honestly such a privilege to witness.

A Family Travelling from India, Together in the Frame
One of the most special parts of this session was having the family visiting all the way from India. It meant so much to them to have these first memories captured together while everyone was in one place.
We made sure to include plenty of family images — mum and dad with their twin boys, gentle cuddles, and those natural, connected moments that really show the start of their journey as a family of four.
There’s something really powerful about these images when family has travelled so far to be together. It turns the session into more than just photographs — it becomes a memory of time spent together, celebrated properly.

Keeping Everything Calm and Baby-Led
With twin sessions, I always take things slowly. We follow the babies’ rhythm completely — feeding, soothing, cuddling whenever needed. There’s no rush at all.
This relaxed approach helps everyone settle, especially parents who are already adjusting to life with two newborns.
As a Newborn Photographer in Colchester, my focus is always on keeping the experience calm, supportive, and enjoyable for the whole family.

Capturing Connection, Not Perfection
Some of my favourite images from this session weren’t the perfectly posed ones — they were the in-between moments. A hand resting on a baby’s back, a quiet look between mum and dad, the twins curled up together completely at ease.
Those are the moments that tell the real story.

A Beautiful Beginning for a Growing Family
Photographing twin boys is always special, but adding in a family who have travelled from India made this session even more meaningful. It was all about connection, love, and celebrating a brand new chapter together.
If you’re expecting twins and looking for a Newborn Photographer in Colchester, I’d love to help you capture those first precious days in a way that feels natural, relaxed, and completely focused on your family 💙
