How long have you been photographing children for?

In 2009 I graduated from University with a 2:1 BA (Hons) in Photography, as well as finding out the good news that I was pregnant with my first child! I decided to build my newborn and child photography business from scratch, so I could have a nice working mummy balance.

What is your style?

I believe that photography should look how you see with your own eyes - bright and clean, just like how you'd like a memory to last - I don't follow trends as your photos need to last a life time. My work is clean and bright, I use soft light backgrounds and I love to capture natural smiles and giggles.

Do you supply the cake?

Yes I do! The Coffee Crate, Tiptree (next door to me) bakes and decorates the cake that's included in the price of your cake smash - I charge you the same price that I pay to keep the cost as low as possible for you.

Do you supply the decorations

Yes, I add matching colour pompoms, balloons and lateens along the back wall (pink, blue or cream)

I want my own theme/style is that ok?

​Yes, please let me know your theme and I will speak to my baker to see if she can design something for you, most of the time it is the same price if its just colour matching - if its more complex there may be an additional fee. You will need to bring along your own decorations - eg coloured balloons/ banner etc if you are wanting this option. (please see Toy Story theme example below)

​What should baby we wear?

Please bring along your own outfit - it can be anything from a coloured vest with 1 on it, romper/dungarees, or a cute tutu! But best not to have anything on babies arms/ lower legs/ feet as they will get messy!

Do your packages include digital images?

Yes, 1st Birthday Cake Smash package includes high quality hand edited digital images for you to print as many times as you like. You can purchase additional digital images for £15 each, and there are discount codes if you want to purchase more.

How and when do we get to view our photos?

If your photo shoot is a week day you will get to view your photos a few hours after your photo session. Weekends are within 24 hours. All photos are viewed on a secure online gallery with your own password.

How long does it take for you to edit our chosen photos?

My turn around is 5-7 days for me to edit your photos once you've chosen your images. My editing days are usually Monday & Tuesdays; If your photo shoot is Thursday for example, and you choose your photos by Sunday, you will have your digital images by Tuesday evening.

This is my full time job, and I am totally dedicated to creating beautiful photos for you, and getting them to you in a good time for you to enjoy and share with family members and friends.

Here's how to book:

1. CLICK HERE for prices and to book, you can either choose a date either 2 weeks before babies 1st Birthday so you get the photos intime, OR on their Birthday as a special birthday celebration!

2. Choose the colour cake you would like from Pink, Blue or Cream, I supply matching balloons/pompoms and lanterns with this option.

3.  OR choose a Themed Cake of your choice - If you are wanting a themed session you will need to bring your own decorations (See Toy Story example)

4. We cater for all allergies, please let me know if baby has an allergy

5. Choose to add on a Bath Splash photo shoot at the end of the session for an additional fee.

6. Relax and enjoy the memories: We'll handle the rest, capturing those priceless expressions as your little one explores their first taste of cake.
